Since January 6, 2009 Lafayette County has experienced a rise in burglaries and thefts. To date there have been 31 reported burglaries. The Lafayette County Sheriff's Office has solved 26 of these burglaries and have arrested those individuals responsible. That is 83% of crimes reported solved. This was accomplished through the hard work and dedication of our patrol deputies, as well as the assistance of  alert citizens of Lafayette County. The Lafayette County Sheriff's Office continues to diligently work on the unsolved cases as well as conducting patrols to deter future crimes, and appreciates the community's continued support and assistance.
